Bob Emmott
Bob Emmott has long been fascinated with water, its rhythm, its movement, its power. For several years he has spent time in maritime Maine and Canada exploring the contrast of raw energy and quiet tide pools, crashing waves and close-up views of hidden worlds.
This work lead to his collaboration with Jeanne Ruddy, choreographer and artistic director of Jeanne Ruddy Dance, in her work Breathless where Bob's haunting images were projected behind the dancers.
As a child Bob enjoyed building sets for model trains which lead to his set building for photography as can be seen on his project on model construction for K'nex Toys. His latest model building may be seen at Frogangle.com, a site on model train How To's. A Frog Angle is the point where the rails in a railroad track switch join.
